Part of an ongoing series, improvised by Dan during his regular performances at the acclaimed restaurant. ‘Unspoken Language’ ventures deeper into the impressionistic sound structures of ‘Spring Magic’ which was performed one month prior. This performance incorporates more synthetic drones and experimental themes while water sounds are present throughout. Dan’s trademark flute work becomes more of a highlight than a central piece navigating the album.

Beyond the Curtain. Bamboo flutes played against an Indian tamboura drone plus an assortment of various percussion instruments such as temple bells, singling bowls, rattles, wind chimes, frame drum, and pieces of metal and glass. All tracks were improvised by Dan Myers except for the Indian tamboura which was played by Barbejo Eberle.

Whispering down the canyons of an emptied mind,
Winds of Wonder.
Truth, simply caught outside of time.
Waking from the dream of thoughts not real,

Still beneath the Covers of the river’s bed.
A spark upon the waters,

My spirit slowly rising, looking back at me.
